Terms & Conditions

Bookings and Cancellations

All candidates must complete our Booking Form in order to register on a course. Completed Booking Forms may be returned to us via email or post. Cancellations must be made by email or post.

Payment

Unless agreed otherwise in writing, full payment is due on submission of our invoice at the end of the course. Payment can be made by cheque or bank transfer.

Certificates

Med-Star Paediatric reserves the right not to issue certificates where an invoice remains unpaid. The cost of the initial certificate is included in the course fee. Requests for copy certificates must be made in writing and are subject to a £7.50 administration fee.

Transfers & Cancellations

In the event a candidate transfers to another course or cancels altogether, an admin charge of 25% of the course fee will be incurred unless the start date is within 10 working days in which case the full course fee will apply.

On-Site Courses

On-site course may be transferred or cancelled altogether, in both cases an admin fee of 25% of the full course fee will be incurred unless the start date is within 10 working days in which case the full course fee will apply.

On-Site Arrangements

When Med-Star Paediatric deliver a course for an organisation at their selected premises , it is assumed that the organisation will be responsible for all domestic arrangements such as provision of the training room, refreshments, toilet facilities etc. For public courses, Med-Star Paediatric will provide the training venue and ensure that refreshments and toilet facilities are available.

Course Timings and Attendance

If a candidate should arrive late for any session we reserve the right to refuse them for training if we feel they will gain insufficient knowledge or skill in the time remaining. In all such cases the full course fee remains payable. For certification, attendance at all sessions in mandatory.

Fitness

Learners on our Paediatric First Aid and First Response courses must be free from any condition, ailment or injury that will affect their ability to participate during the practical aspects of the course, or affect other learners. Learners on our Emergency Paediatric First Aid course who are unable to fully participate during the practical aspects of the course due to disability, will be awarded a Certificate of Attendance.

Force Majeur

Med-Star Paediatric cannot be held responsible for any incident or occurrence outside its control that affects the provision of any course date, course forecast, course content or course timing and/or including cancellation, amendment or re-scheduling. Where a course content or timing has to be amended/cancelled/re-scheduled for whatever reason, Med-Star Paediatric will make every effort to make alternative arrangements. If these are not convenient for the candidate, Med-Star will fully refund their course fee.
